The Darkmoon Faire is back in town for one week. With the release of 8.0, the Darkmoon Faire now contains  Hot Buttered Popcorn, a new toy! Also, make sure to get  Darkmoon Top Hat and WHEE!, which provide 10% experience and reputation buffs, to help you grind out reputation for Allied Races or the new Collection Achievements.

New Toy

The Darkmoon Faire has a new toy,  Hot Buttered Popcorn available for 50 Darkmoon Prize Ticket from Stamp Thunderhorn. Use this toy whenever something exciting is happening!

Collection Achievements

The Darkmoon Faire is also great for collectors: there are mounts, pets, toys, and transmog you can only get at the Darkmoon Faire, which can greatly aid players towards reaching collection total achievements. Many of these items require prize tickets, which is covered in our Acquiring Tickets Section. You should complete Darkmoon Faire dailies to slowly acquire tickets.

With the release of 8.0 Pre-Patch, new collection achievements were added for reputations, pets, toys and mounts!

Toys

To help you achieve Toybox Tycoon, there are also 17 other possible toys from the Darkmoon Faire from completing achievements like Powermonger: Gold to a random drop from Moonfang. See the full list on our Toy Box Darkmoon Faire Guide.
  1.  Attraction Sign: Places down a blinking arrow, similar to the ones used as decorations around the Faire. Reward from Wanderluster: Gold.
  2.  Blazing Wings: Creates fiery wings. Reward for completing Brood of Alysrazor.
  3.  Darkmoon Ring-Flinger: Creates an explosion of rings. Reward from Triumphant Turtle Tossing.
  4.  Darkmoon Seesaw: Ride a Seesaw with your friend. Sold by Gelvas Grimegate.
  5.  Darkmoon Tonk Controller: Summon your very own Darkmoon Tonk. Reward from Ace Tonk Commander.
  6.  Darkmoon Whistle: Make an annoying sound. Costs 90 from Gelvas Grimegate.
  7.  Everlasting Darkmoon Firework: Permanent version of  Darkmoon Firework, a firework with the Faire logo. Reward from Rocketeer: Gold.
  8.  Fire-Eater's Vial: Sets your breath on fire, like many of the Darkmoon Faire NPCs. Reward from Darkmoon Racer Roadhog.
  9.  Flimsy Yellow Balloon: Summons a yellow balloon. Costs 10 silver from Carl Goodup.
  10.  Haunting Memento: Does many different things, including turning the sky purple, zombie transformations, and summoning spiders. It is sold by Chester for 90.
  11.  Moonfang's Paw; Disguise that turns you into a wolf. It can drop from Moonfang and is not BoP.
  12.  Moonfang Shroud: Turns your helm into a wolf head. It can drop from Moonfang and is not BoP.
  13.  Ring of Broken Promises: Transforms you into a fel-infused Blood Elf. Head to the underwater cave by the shipwreck around 74, 38. Kill one of the elite Erinys to get Broken Promises, then turn this in to Chester.
  14.  Gaze of the Darkmoon: Puts a Darkmoon Faire marker over someone's head. Reward from Powermonger: Gold.
  15.  Seafarer's Slidewhistle: Blows a buff of smoke and plays a whistle noise. Costs 25  Darkmoon Daggermaw
  16.  Darkmoon Gazer: Lets you scout out places in the distance. Reward from Big Wanderluster: Gold
  17.  Sparklepony XL: For 15 sec, jumping while mounted will cause an array of fireworks to shoot off. Sold by Boomie Sparks.

Mounts

To help you work towards No Stable Big Enough and A Horde of Hoofbeats, the Darkmoon Faire offers 4 mounts.

Pets

You're going to need 1,000 unique pets to achieve Master of Minions and the Darkmoon Faire offers 19 total pets from a variety of sources.

  15. Jubling: Questing. Get two  Dark Iron Ale Mug either from the AH or from Plugger Spazzring. Place one by Morja’s feet and then pick up Spawn of Jubjub. A week later  Unhatched Jubling Egg will hatch into  A Jubling's Tiny Home.

Reputation

While the Darkmoon Faire only offers one reputation to hit exalted with, it does provide a 10% reputation buff to help you raise your reputation faster. This week will be a great time to work on any reputation grinds for 80 Exalted Reputations or 100 Exalted Reputations. Check out our Overview of All Reputations for advice on each faction.

You may wish to finish off your Legion reputations with this buff:
  • Earn more reputation to finish off your Paragon Mount Collection
  • Collect and use your  Mark of Prey to earn reputation with Talon's Vengeance, as it will become harder to earn in Battle for Azeroth with less people in Legion zones.
  • Achievement Exalted with certain Legion factions to unlock Allied Races
